Accountability Layer for Autonomous AI

Your AI agent took action. Can you prove it was authorized?

SIDERUNE links delegated authority to real-world actions, actual effects, and verifiable evidence.

When AI acts

AI is moving from recommendation to action.

When an AI agent can issue a refund, modify a payable, create a supplier, trigger a payment, or act through an API, access alone is no longer the whole question.

  1. Who authorized the agent?
  2. What authority was granted?
  3. Was that authority delegated?
  4. What action was requested?
  5. What actually happened?
  6. Did the real-world effect stay within the granted authority?
  7. Can you prove it?

SIDERUNE connects those answers into a verifiable accountability chain.

Accountability chain

From authority to actual effect.

  1. Identity
  2. Authority
  3. Delegation
  4. Action
  5. Effect
  6. Evidence

Your existing systems can decide who or what is allowed to act.

SIDERUNE provides the accountability layer that connects delegated authority to what agents actually do — and to the effects their actions produce.

Canonical example

See the gap between what was authorized and what actually happened.

A human authorizes Agent A to issue refunds up to $100. Agent A delegates to Agent B. Agent B requests a $482 refund. The external system records a $482 effect.

Delegated authority
$100
Actual effect
$482
Authority exceeded
$382
Evidence
VERIFIED
  1. Human grants authority
  2. Authority ≤ $100
  3. Agent A holds authority
  4. Delegated to Agent B inherits ≤ $100
  5. Requested $482
  6. Actual effect $482
  7. EXCEEDED violation
  8. Evidence Verified hash chain intact

Authorized limit $100. Requested $482. Actual effect $482, $382 beyond the limit. Violation: true. Root cause: the delegated agent exceeded its inherited authority — reconstructed and verified against the evidence chain.

Built for consequential actions

Accountability for actions that matter.

  • Payments

    Trace authority behind money movement.

  • Refunds

Verify whether executed refunds stayed within delegated limits.

  • Payables & Billing

Connect agent actions to financial effects.

  • Collections

Reconstruct who authorized consequential actions and what occurred.

  • Operational Actions

Extend accountability beyond finance as agents gain authority across enterprise systems.

Product boundary

Accountability, not another authorization system.

SIDERUNE does not replace your IAM, RBAC, policy engine, MCP server, payment infrastructure, or application-level permissions.

Those systems help determine what should be allowed.

SIDERUNE makes delegated authority and its real-world consequences verifiable.

This separation allows accountability to remain independent of the system making or executing the original authorization decision.

Verifiable evidence

Evidence you can verify.

  • Identity

    Who acted.

  • Authority

    What authority existed.

  • Delegation

How that authority moved between actors.

  • Action

What the agent attempted or requested.

  • Effect

What actually happened in the external system.

  • Evidence

The cryptographic record supporting the reconstruction.

Technical properties

  • SHA-256 hash chaining

Each recorded event is linked to the one before it, so the sequence itself can be checked for gaps or tampering.

  • Ed25519 signatures

Evidence is signed, so its origin and integrity can be independently verified rather than taken on trust.

  • Tamper-evident evidence

Historical events are designed so that any after-the-fact alteration is detectable, not merely discouraged.

  • Authority & delegation reconstruction

The chain from human authority through every delegation step to the acting agent is reconstructed explicitly.

  • Actual-effect comparison

Requested action, actual execution, and actual real-world effect are tracked as distinct facts and compared against the authority that existed at the time.

The result is not just another activity log. It is evidence designed to answer whether an autonomous action remained within delegated authority.

SIDERUNE is an internal accountability and forensic reconstruction layer. These are engineering properties of the system, not a claim of external certification, regulatory compliance, or guarantee of outcome.

For developers

Designed to fit beside your existing authorization stack.

SIDERUNE reconstructs and verifies the accountability chain from events your systems and agents provide.

SIDERUNE does not currently provide a managed policy-enforcement gateway. Reconstruction is only as complete as the events supplied to SIDERUNE.

Why SIDERUNE

Building the accountability layer for autonomous AI.

Agents are beginning to move from recommend → decide → act.

As their authority grows, organizations will need more than access controls and activity logs.

They will need to prove why an agent had authority, how that authority was delegated, what the agent actually caused, and whether the result stayed within its mandate.

That is the problem SIDERUNE is being built to solve.
